HGV / LGV - Cat C + E
Cat C+E (also known as HGV Class 1) are articulated lorries with a GVW of up to 44 tonnes. Wagon and Drags/Drawbars, or the more commonly seen articulated tractor units and trailers, cover the roads of the UK and Europe. Before starting this course you need to pass the Cat C also known as Class 2 rigid test. We can help to guide you through the qualification and training processes and help you to start your career as a professional driver.
Who should train? Why should I train?
There is a huge shortage of drivers in the UK and it is anticipated that this could double after Brexit. Cat C+E vehicles are seen delivering goods all over the UK and Europe and it is the largest standard vehicle category. As a result, Cat C+E is usually the required qualification for people who enter the haulage industry and therefore the most sought after. The salary and career opportunities are usually better than the Cat C Class 2. If you want a career driving professionally across the UK or Europe it’s likely that you will be driving the larger Cat C+E vehicles.
