Who should train? Why should I train?
To train as a Transport Manager, the apprentice does not necessarily have to be a new starter. You may have already identified someone from within your road haulage operation who you feel has what it takes to be a Transport Manager, or you may want to recruit someone new to train. It’s a great opportunity to support someone to gain their Transport Manager qualification and progress your business.
This apprenticeship has been designed to minimise disruption to businesses. It includes 15 days classroom learning, including the Transport Manager CPC. In addition, the candidate will also benefit from attending virtual classroom sessions and completing online learning sessions.
The apprenticeship equips candidates with the vital skills needed to become a Transport Manager, including:
- Operational and project management
- Competence and understanding of finance
- Governance and compliance
- People management and customer care
