Train your Next LGV Driver Apprentice with Dulson Training

Are you a business in need of qualified HGV/LGV drivers?

Dulson Training’s apprenticeship scheme can help you to get new drivers on the road – for free!

Driver shortages have been identified as the biggest challenge for the haulage industry, with a reported 45,000 fewer drivers available than are currently in demand. It has been acknowledged that businesses need to invest in funding new drivers, so what better way to get a helping hand than to use the government backed apprentice scheme?

We understand that training or recruiting new LGV drivers can be expensive for businesses, but here at Dulson Training Ltd, we can help to solve this problem with our government backed apprenticeship training programme.

How Does an HGV/LGV Apprenticeship Work?

Apprenticeship training can be offered for existing or new employees and apprentices can be any age (above 18 years). Apprentices can train for either Class 1 or Class 2 driver qualifications.

Training is free, and Dulson Training can help you with all of the necessary paperwork for the application, training, and test process.

Apprentices will complete a medical, theory training at home, theory test, driver training, driving test, and Driver CPC with Dulson Training, and then complete on-the-job training with an employer.

The average apprenticeship takes around 12 months, with most of the off the job training, driving training, and the driving test completed by month nine, with the final months focusing on working for the employer.
