Minibus Training Insurance Complications

We have offered Cat D1 (minibus training) for many years, we have always made sure that our equipment is well maintained and insured for the purpose of training. A common theme is for trainees to supply their own vehicle. This might be a school/college minibus or a hired bus for the week. We feel it is very important to be aware that the chance of you having no insurance is very high. When hiring a bus or using a school/college bus the insurance policy will almost always be invalid with an unqualified driver at the wheel. We use a brand new Transit minibus. It is small, very easy to drive and is fitted with reversing cameras. This is the ideal training tool. If you need a D1 entitlement, contact us in order for us to arrange the whole package and make sure the vehicle you use is suitable. Our vehicles are all insured for the purpose they are used for i.e. driver training and testing.
