The Driver CPC Instructor Training course provides candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver Driver CPC Periodic Training.
The Driver CPC Instructor course concludes with an objective examination carried out by an NRI examiner. All elements of the examination must be passed in order to successfully qualify as an NRI Driver CPC Instructor. Successful candidates are eligible to register on the NRI Register of LGV Instructors as a Driver CPC Instructor.
Following the successful completion of the examination, you will be required to complete a registration form which outlines the terms and conditions of your qualification. The form must be sent, along with all requested documents, for final approval. You will then be sent a registration number and photo card within 10 to 15 working days, which will be valid for five years.
USEFUL GUIDANCE
The NRI exam will consist of 2 parts:
Part 1: Theory Examination
100 multiple choice questions from 4 subject areas (Instructor Technique, highway code, legislation, eco safe driving and testing) 80% pass mark required
Part 2: Classroom Training
A pre allocated subject is given which must then be delivered as a classroom presentation. a 70% pass mark is also required in this section.
To give you an idea of this course's credentials it is fully supported by the Road Haulage Association, the Freight Transport Association and finally most importantly it is recognised as the Industry standard and endorsed by the DVSA.
It is beneficial to familiarise yourself with the following webpages, publications and documents prior to attending a goods vehicle instructor or assessor course. It is by no means compulsory to download/purchase and read all of these items, they are provided as recommendations only of what is likely to assist in preparation for course attendance.

The course provides candidates with the skills necessary to deliver Driver CPC periodic training to professional drivers. It also prepares candidates for the independent National Register of LGV Instructors (NRI) examination.

I just wanted to say how impressed I was with the course content and the trainers who delivered them.
It was easy to book the days that suited me over a two week period and to complete each one. Pat was extremely helpful at every stage and made the process simple and easy with great communication along the way.
It is clear that your team strive to excel and exceed expectations, and on this they delivered it all.
What was also pleasing was that it was interactive and participative with the training team having good interpersonal skills and humour making all the subjects easy to engage with and get the most out of.

Just like to add no driver looks forward to their cpc courses Neil & Rose made the course as painless as possible the time flew by, whilst it was done remotely with limitations on discussions we still managed to have some form of discussion between new drivers and the more seasoned drivers. From the initial phone call to pat about wanting to go for my cat c license right up to steve driving me back from the test site to rodenhurst and everything in between was just brilliant. Loved the cpc modules and steve is an asset to the company. The driving assessment was perfect and the fella that assessed me was brilliant. Everything was absolutely faultless from the moment I first called the office to the moment I left after passing my test. First impressions were very good as the office staff explained everything I needed to do with a provisional and theory tests etc. They sent a full information pack of forms out that i found very useful and made the whole process easy. This is something that stood out to me as other driver training businesses didn’t give me a good first impression. Even though I didn’t pass first time(my fault), Steve and his team worked very hard in finding me a test as soon as possible and at the right time for myself. They were great.
